Time to clean those DJ libraries!

Written by: Christiaan Maks @ 7/17/2019

If you're using Rekordbox, Traktor, VirtualDJ or Serato then I'm sure your library isn't the pristine gem you want it to be. And no one can blame you, it's an absolute disaster to clean everything by hand in there.

This is exactly the type of mind numbing and boring work that rekordcloud is made for. All you have to do is upload your library, click a few buttons and your library looks so much better!

Let's take a look at some examples, I'm sure you'll recognize them:

Example 1: Removing numbers

This is probably the most common thing in everyone's library.

Track titles like this:

05. Get Lucky
02 - Voodoo People
03. Like a Rodeo

Will be fixed by rekordcloud to this:

Get Lucky
Voodoo People
Like a Rodeo

Example 2: Fixing casing

Titles with bad casing are ugly and very annoying to fix manually. I'm sure you've seen these.

Track titles like this:

LET'S DANCE
INVADERS MUST DIE
push and shove

Will be fixed by rekordcloud to this:

Let's Dance
Invaders Must Die
Push And Shove

Example 3: Replacing characters

This one happens often, especially with tracks downloaded from lesser known sources.

Track titles like this:

You_Need_To_Calm_Down
Beer-Never-Broke-My-Heart

Will be fixed by rekordcloud to this:

You Need To Calm Down
Beer Never Broke My Heart

Bonus example: All kinds of bad stuff

Now let's take it into the extreme and fix some really bad titles.

Track titles like this:

get_lucky_original_mix [www.somedownloadsite.com]
02.B-Boys_&_Flygirls - Radio Edit |

Will be fixed by rekordcloud to this:

Get Lucky (Original Mix)
B-Boys & Flygirls (Radio Edit)

Much nicer right? And it only took a few clicks without having to mess around with complex tools.

You can preview all these fixes by trying the rekordcloud demo. No signup required!
